Granada participates for the second consecutive time in the Tokyo World Tourism Fair

The Councillor for Mobility and Citizen Protection, Trade and Tourism in the City Council of Granada, Raquel Ruz, has highlighted this Sunday in a statement the presence of Granada within the project’ Andalusian Soul, The Spanish Essence’, which brings together the Andalusian cities of Granada, Seville, Malaga and Cordoba, for the aspirations “of our city to become one of the tourist points of reference for Asian tourism”.

The Japanese Tourism Fair JATA 2017 will be the most important showcase for tourism in Japan from 22 to 24 September and, therefore, in the words of Ruz Peis,”it is considered one of the largest tourist exhibitors in the Asian market.

Andalusian Soul, the Spanish essence’ was born two years ago from the coalition of the four Andalusian capitals to offer a product based on their heritage, cultural and lifestyle offering with the aim of marketing in the medium and long distance markets.

On this occasion, Ruz has reported that Granada “is committed to distinguishing itself for its enormous cultural offer”, for which this year will feature the performance of Granada’s Eva, the Yerbabuena, while the delegation in Tokyo Granada will publicize the programming of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and the International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada.

At the same time, it is planned to hold working meetings to promote in Japanese cultural circles, through the Instituto Cervantes, the cultural and monumental proposal of Granada.

Ruz reminded that this is not the first time that Granada, with the current socialist government team, has attended an international tourism fair “in its commitment to improving tourism of medium and long duration”.

Thus, it has announced that the City Council of Granada will attend, for the first time and also within the Andalusian tourism project, the most important tourism fair in Latin America, which will take place in Argentina in October.
